Marcela Clark

Marcela received a kidney 18 years ago from a man she was married to.

When her marriage fell apart, so did her life. At times she felt she did not even want that kidney any more. She came dangerously close to giving up. But she did not. She has spent the past 3 years rebuilding her life, one day at a time.

Her message is this. It is ok to be vulnerable, to tell your stories and to cry. It is ok to be on the bottom rung of the ladder as long as you are making progress, and time enables progress. So just keep holding on. And even if the whole journey feels like a struggle, gratitude is power.
