Rozelle (@dialysis_princess) doesn’t spend much time complaining or worrying about the cards she was dealt.

Born with CKD, she spent her first 25 years of life dealing with kidney disease, and three years on hemodiaylisis before receiving a kidney transplant in June of 2018. That's been her life. All of it.

Having learned first hand the difficulties of transferring from children’s care to adult kidney care, she now works as a Peer Support Worker for BC Children’s Hospital and she is building a transition clinic for those who are preparing to go to adult care. She is also a kidney advocate for @getloudforkidneys, an organization that helps people in need connect with living kidney donors. Fiercely independent, she has learned to accept whatever happens with an open mind.

“It’s my life and I can’t really avoid it or say screw you.”
