Donating a kidney on December 23 brought back meaning to Christmas

Laurie was on deck to donate a kidney to a man who already had a donor secured. When that donor had to withdraw for medical reasons, Laurie was the one who stepped up and fast-tracked her own testing. But she had also decided she would donate anonymously to someone else in need if she was not a good match.

On December 23, 2019 Laurie successfully donated her kidney to Jason and she says it changed her life. It also brought back her love for the Christmas season because now she has so much more to celebrate than the commotion of consumerism that had jaded her for the past few years.
